Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

cheese union finds documents containing 'cheese' or 'union'
cheese or union same as above
cheese and union finds documents containing both 'cheese' and 'union'
cheese not union finds documents containing 'cheese' but not 'union'
ham and (cheese not union)     finds documents containing 'ham', plus 'cheese' but not 'union'
ham* finds documents containing words starting with 'ham'
